Let’s start with a little secret - no need to bake from scratch! We used the Culpitt Select Vanilla Cake Mix, which might just be one of the best cake mixes out there. It’s foolproof, delicious, and all you need to do is add water, mix, and bake. A kilo pack makes about 24 cupcakes, but for this project, we used half the pack for 12 cupcakes, keeping the rest for another baking adventure.

Making Googly Eyes
Now for the fun part creating the googly eyes! We used chocolate buttons, long chocolate biscuit sticks, marshmallows, and the Edible Sugar Eyes. To stick them together, melt some chocolate buttons, then use a biscuit stick to “paint” the chocolate onto the decorations to stick them together. Let them set in the fridge for about 30 minutes (or make them the night before). Final Decorating TouchesGive your monster cupcakes some personality by attaching the googly eyes and pointing them in different directions to add a playful touch! Lastly, don’t forget to give your yellow monster a chocolate chip cookie for that extra charm. |
