Don’t panic, help is at hand! The festive season is well and truly upon us, but you quickly need to whip up some homemade sweet treats. What can you make in few minutes that will impress and delight, helping spread Christmas cheer for all the family to enjoy?

The answer is quick and easy crispy Christmas puddings.

Adding a festive twist to traditional crispy cakes, you don’t need a lot of time, ingredients, or skills to make these delicious Christmas treats. You can even enlist the help of the kids who will want to join in to help secure their place on the nice list in the run up to the big day!

Let’s get cracking!

Instructions

Melted Chocolate in Bowl

1

Lay a sheet of greaseproof paper onto a tray or plate.

Break up the chocolate into the bowl and melt according to the instructions in a microwave or on the hob

Stir In Chocolate

2

Once the chocolate is melted and still warm, gradually stir in the Rice Krispies. Add a few at a time because the Rice Krispies need quite a thick coating of chocolate to help hold them together.

If you add too many too quickly, the puddings won’t hold their shape when you try to make them into balls.

Scooping the mixture

3

To make the pulling balls, dampen an ice cream scoop with just a drop of warm water before scooping into the mixture. This will help release the chocolatey loveliness cleanly and easily with a gentle tap.

Slowly release the ice cream scoop lever to help encourage the mixture out onto the greaseproof sheet.

4

Dampen the ice cream scoop and repeat making individual pudding balls until all the mixture is used up.

Leave the pudding balls to set at room temperature, or in the fridge for a few minutes.

icing with cake drip

For really easy pudding icing, we love Colour Splash Drip and Drizzle. It’s so easy, just use what you need straight from the tube. Plus, there’s no additional washing up!

Melt in the microwave per the instructions on the packet and simply squeeze over the top of each pudding ball.

finishing touches

Finish by adding a holly sugar piping whilst the icing is still soft to hold it in place, then allow them to set completely.

Really easy, really cheerful, Christmas treats worthy of sharing with Santa himself!
