Made in the UK, this high-quality strawberries & cream flavour cake mix only requires water, so no need to add eggs and oil, this saves time and money, whilst delivering excellent (and delicious) results.
Simply add water using the instructions for use, in order to quickly and easily make a light, strawberry flavoured cake or cupcakes / muffins. As a guide, 1kg of cake mix will make 2 x 8" cakes, approx 3" depth.
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to Gas Mark 2 / 150oC
- Line 2 x 8” round or square baking tins with greaseproof paper
- Add 200ml of water gradually and beat by hand or with a mixer on slow speed for approximately 2 minutes
- Scrape down into bowl and mix for a further 3 minutes on medium speed
- Add a further 200ml of water gradually whilst mixing on a slow speed for 2 minutes
- Scrape down into bowl and mix for a further 3 minutes on medium speed
- Divide into baking tins and bake for approximately 50-55 minutes (if you have an extra hot oven reduce temperature slightly after 35 minutes)
- To ensure cake is baked, gently insert a thin skewer in the middle of the cake until it comes out clean
- Leave to cool slightly in the tin
For muffins reduce water by 60ml per 1kg of dry mix and bake for approximately 30 minutes at a temperature of Gas Mark 3 / 160oC (makes around 20 muffins)
